About

Adopted at a young age by a wealthy Sharlayan family, treated well if rather strictly. Until she snuck into her father's study and read some of his books, finding out more than she anticipated. What she read set her on a journey to find wisdom and truth, steering her towards the stories of Bards and Scholars, who carry wisdom in the form of song, and truth in the form of books. She first left home to take part in the Eureka Expedition. At almost the beginning of her journey there, she found an injured lesser panda that she adopted, nursed back to health, and nick-named Little Buddy. Soon, she would start meeting her chosen family. Many adventurers promised their blades and brains in her search and in life, but few have kept that promise. These days, she much prefers the casual company of friends in her garden to that of any band of adventurers in battle.

NPCs/Other Relationships

  • Little Buddy - her faithful pet who she adopted ages ago when she first found him alone and injured in the Shroud

  • Pegasus - her Chocobo! Poor thing hit his head a few times and is doing his best. Given many Krakka Roots and pats.

  • There are other adventurers she has befriended or fought with over time, but some have left and others are off on adventures elsewhere. Regardless, she misses them.

RP hooks:

  • Books: bookworm, if you get her talking about books she will not shut up. You will wish she would. Probably has at least 3 books on her right now, actually.

  • Carpentry: Have something you're trying to make? Have something you want made? Get her the materials and a small handful of Gil and she can help you! Has built a fair amount of things for friend's apartments or houses.

  • Green: Spent arguably a bit too much time around Gummy and now will not stop trying to look nice, but in green. Will gladly help you pick the right shade for your glamour

  • Healer: Whatever is hurting, can be healed. Take a rest and a cup of something warm and we'll try again in the morning.

  • Bard: Will gladly sing you to sleep if worries plague your dreams, lullabies are their own form of magic and healing, after all.

If you perceive me, you can refer to me as either Kara or Em. I am a caffeine dependent she/they with insomnia, so I will be up at odd hours often. I honestly don't have many plans to RP with Kara, but I'm usually happy to help run almost anything, just send me a /tell in game or a ping on discord [available upon discussion/request].Not much else to say here, really. Your standard low-sodium diet, I won't roleplay out traumatic events, and I don't do romantic or explicit RP. Taken irl, IC and OOC emotions are very separate, etc, etc. You know the drill.
